Autumn is my favorite time of year. That sounds very cliche, but it's true. In my opinion, there's nothing more refreshing than that first burst of cool air hitting my cheeks, notifying me of the official change in season. (Except maybe the burst of cold air on the first snowy day of the year, cause that's pretty wonderful, too.)
With leaves falling from the trees and plants and animals preparing to hibernate, autumn is a time of endings for mother nature. I, however, have always viewed it as a season of new beginnings. Growing up as a lover of school and the perpetual new kid, the beginning of the school year always held so much promise. Though summer breaks and recess are things of the past, that feeling of hope and change has stayed with me.
